We are thrilled to invite students of every age, ability, background, and body type to showcase our brand-new ISTD exam uniform. We believe in celebrating diversity and inclusion within our dance community. We encourage you to step forward and be part of this exciting opportunity to show your unique style and inspire others.
If you and your students would like to be part of our promotional photoshoot, taking place at the end of July in the Midlands UK, then read on to find out more about our uniform and how to enter!
The concept behind the collection is to create a truly inclusive capsule kit, with items that can be mixed and matched according to the individuals’ tastes and the genres’ examination requirements.
Our dancewear partners Dansez and a team of ISTD members, have created a sustainable, inclusive and quality uniform range that offers flexibility and good value for both class and examination wear for theatre and disco, freestyle and rock n roll genres. Our classical Indian, ballroom, Latin and sequence uniforms will follow in 2025.
We’re looking for representation from a diverse mix of our membership across ballet, modern, tap, street, contemporary, national and Greek dance genres to take part in an exciting photoshoot to promote the uniform. Photos will be used to promote the products on the Dansez shop, and across ISTD website and all our communication channels to promote the uniform and the Society.
The day will involve solo and group work, and will provide the opportunity to experience a professional photoshoot with dance colleagues from across the country.
Online applications must be made by an ISTD member via the link below, by 12pm on Tuesday 14 May. If you or your students would like to take part, simply complete the form and submit a photograph, remember to obtain permission from parents before submitting any applications.
A team from ISTD and Dansez will select a range of students across ages and genres. Successful applicants will be informed and invited to attend the photoshoot in the Midlands, UK with parents/guardian and/or teacher. Unfortunately we can not include everyone that submits an entry.
Your participation will not only celebrate individuality, but also help to redefine beauty in motion. Join us in embracing the inclusive spirit of dance.

“It has been an interesting experience working on the new designs. I have enjoyed participating and hopefully producing some new current pieces that dancers will enjoy wearing and feeling good in.”
