Qualification information chart

This change brings these documents up to date, providing more thorough information about each qualification as well as the inclusion of mark schemes. All qualifications including regulated and unregulated exams, will eventually have a Specification including mark schemes.

No changes have been made to the information in the previous Syllabus Outlines, the Specification documents purely replace the Syllabus Outlines and combine the mark schemes with examination information.

If any of the content of a qualification changes, members will be notified via newsletters, and changes will be summarised on a page in the specification.

The Specification is a one stop shop for all the information you need to prepare your students and studio for examinations. It includes information on things like, studio layout, clothing, exam length, maximum number of candidates, learning outcomes and assessment criteria, mark schemes, mark bands and much more. Names of syllabus exercises are listed, however, the content of each exercise is included in syllabus books available to purchase from the ISTD shop.

Specifications are updated when any changes are made changes in exam format, content, regulations and entry requirements.

Ahead of your examination, check the version number/publication date on the front cover of the document you’re using and the version on the website.
