While we know incidents like this are extremely rare, we recognise that many of our members will be holding summer schools and activities over the summer, and may be feeling anxious about ensuring the safety of children in their care.
The following links provide advice and checklists to help you review your own risk assessments, particularly in regards to who can access venues and activities to help ensure that you, your students and their parents feel confident participating in group activities outside of a school setting. The guidance also provides advice on safer recruitment policies to ensure that staff and volunteers are vetted and that there are sufficient adults for the class/event.
