The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) is a registered educational charity and membership association. Our mission is to educate the public in the art of dancing in all its forms: to promote knowledge of dance; provide up-to-date techniques for members and maintain and improve teaching standards.

Summary of the role
We are looking for a part- time, temporary Examiner Management Officer to provide a wide range of professional and efficient administrative services to support the Examiner Management department and provide additional support as needed to the UK Examinations department. The job’s main focus is to administer communications, monitor and respond to email and telephone enquiries from examiners and the lead examining teams, and to provide administrative support for all examiner recruitment and training activities. There will also be periods of working with the UK Examinations Team in an administrative capacity. This role will report directly to the Head of UK Examinations and Examiner Management
Key Responsibilities:
In addition to working closely with the Head of UK Examinations and Examiner Management the Examiner Management Officer will also be responsible for the following areas:
• Manage the administrative duties and answer enquiries associated with the Examiner Management department such as recruitment, training, standardisation and upgrading.
• Maintain accurate, detailed and up-to-date records ensuring compliance with GDPR.
• Act as a point of contact for examiners and trainee examiners, handling enquiries in a professional manner, and providing support with the use of ISTD’s online platforms.
• Provide administrative support to the UK Examinations department when needed.
• Work flexibly and provide support to other operational areas/colleagues as required and carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the Head of Department or Executive Management.
Working Hours
This is a part-time role, working 17.5 hours a week, from Monday to Friday from 9am to 12.30pm, (there is some flexibility with start and end times). Flexibility to work occasional weekends for meetings and to cover London Centre Examinations with time off in lieu (TOIL) would be advantageous.
Additional Information
• This role is offered on a hybrid working basis, the terms of which will be negotiated with the successful applicant, based on geographical location.
• When working remotely, the postholder will be required to work from home in an environment with a high-speed broadband.
• The office remains open from Monday to Friday and is available for those who would prefer to work in the office environment or have difficulties working remotely.
